Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya more so Africa. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Moreover, the wildlife tends to be most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment.
The Masai Mara is the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas and at the same time, the annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals. They arrive in July and depart in November.
There have been some 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 birds species recorded on the reserve.
Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Airport in the morning drive to Masai Mara. The drive through The Great African Rift Valley has a stopover at the view point for a beautiful scenic view of the Rift floor. Then drive through Narok Town arriving in time for Lunch and have the late afternoon to yourself. Dinner and overnight in the campsite
Early morning game drive and then return back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, undertake a full day game drive in the park with packed lunch. Masai Mara National Reserve is known worldwide for its annual wildebeest migration from the Serengeti national park in Tanzania to the Kenyan side. It is also home to zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle. Also regularly seen are leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance. Meals and overnight in the ecosystem.
Early Morning breakfast at your camp or lodge check out of the camp and park and drive to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Drop off at either at your hotel or at the airport depending on your itinerary. Lunch at carnivore afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport.
